Multifelt Factory is a manufacturer located in Hungary specializing in high-quality, natural wool felt products. Within the CIRCULOOS project, Multifelt Factory is committed to progressing toward a fully circular manufacturing model. One key step in this journey is our collaboration with B&A Kft. and Multifelt Kft. (CIRCULOOS project’s leather pilot partners), where we jointly experiment with innovative ways to repurpose production residues.
As a first step, Multifelt will join the webshop developed in the leather pilot of CIRCULOOS, to which our tailoring leftovers will also be uploaded, so they can become a usable raw material for anyone in the future.
Working with the leather pilot partners, we are exploring how their leather offcuts—those no longer suitable for aesthetic applications—can be utilized as filling materials (with the help of a shredding machine) in products such as acoustic panels. At the same time, the still-valuable leather pieces that retain decorative quality are being combined with our smaller felt accessories. Our experience shows that these two natural materials complement each other exceptionally well, enabling us to create visually appealing, functional items such as bottle holders, laptop sleeves, shoulder bags, and eyeglass cases enhanced with leather handles or inserts.
Through these joint efforts, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing circular economy principles, strengthening green innovation within our industry, and developing sustainable material loops that ensure our natural resources continue to serve new functions long after their initial lifecycle.
About the wool felt material
No harmful substances are produced during the production of wool felt, as only water vapor and wool are needed for its production, this is called wet industrial felting. We only use heavy metal-free, OEKO-TEX 100-rated dyes to color the finished product, which is environmentally friendly. In addition, the process is completely waste-free, and the falling parts can be reused.
This is how we created our environmentally friendly, mass-produced felt product line, which includes toiletries, rugs, Christmas ornaments, birthday decorations, foldable universal storage, shoulder bags, key and pen holders.
We are able to produce our existing products in multiple colors, and we can also customize them for the right ordered quantity - usually from 100-250 pieces. We can also help with the design, prototyping and production of new product ideas, practically covering the entire product development process.
About the manufacturing
of the product line
We are proud that the production of our wool felt items has a minimal carbon footprint, as the wool felt produced in our factory in Kőszeg is processed locally, logoed, and then transformed into a finished product by a nearby upholstery factory. The production process is completely ethical and transparent. The products are made one by one, with great care and expertise, so even though no two pieces are ever exactly the same, their premium quality is guaranteed.
Due to the natural texture of wool felt and the handmade nature of the product, slight variations may occur between products of the same type. We believe this is what gives the products their uniqueness and essence.

A gyapjúfilc készítése során birkagyapjút használunk, melynek szálai a nemezelés technikájával szoros szerkezetbe tömörülnek. One of the most important advantages of wool felt is its unique thermal insulation properties. A felt bottle holder, for example, helps prevent the heat caused by hot drinks from leaving marks on the surface of the tabletop, while being soft to the touch and not slipping on smooth surfaces. Cleaning of the wool felt products
Caring for wool felt products is not complicated either, most accessories can be cleaned gently or – depending on the characteristics of the material – washed by hand in lukewarm water. Wool felt is highly stain and water-repellent thanks to its lanolin layer. If a stain does occur, the soiled surface can be washed by hand with slightly soapy water or wool shampoo.
