ZERO NOISE
Acoustic solutions

We manufacture a variety of acoustic panels for office buildings, community spaces, and studios, tailored to individual/designer needs. Wool felt is a favorite material of interior designers due to its excellent sound absorption properties.

The use of acoustic panels in room acoustics

Wool felt inherently possesses good sound-absorbing properties, due to the interlocking of fiber bundles that form during the felting process.

It is important to note, however, that wool felt does not prevent sound from traveling between spaces—i.e., it does not provide sound insulation—but rather absorbs the sounds generated and reverberating within a given space, a phenomenon best described as the “cave effect.”

The sound waves we perceive with our ears get trapped for a short time in the wool felt placed in the space, thereby slowing down their rebound back to our ears. Hard surfaces—such as wood, metal, and glass—reflect them immediately, while soft surfaces slow down this phenomenon.
