128 years of tradition and sustainability
in wool felt manufacturing
The history of Multifelt Factory began in Kőszeg in 1896. By combining traditional wet-felting technology with modern processes, our factory is well on its way to becoming synonymous with sustainable manufacturing and high-quality products.

Sustainability
Our factory uses green energy solutions, including solar panels, to provide the energy needed for production. Our manufacturing processes are chemical-free and rely on recyclable materials to minimize our environmental footprint. We use Oeko-Tex® Standard-certified pigments to dye our wool felt.

Products
Our product range includes acoustic panels, room dividers, and custom wool felt solutions. We also offer custom colors and sizes to meet our customers' specific needs.

Wool felt
Wool felt is a natural and versatile material suitable for both design and industrial applications. It offers outstanding insulation and acoustic properties, while being 100% biodegradable and made from renewable sources.

Recycling of manufacturing waste
We do not let the offcuts and wool felt scraps generated during production go to waste. We recycle them and use them in dyeing processes, among other things, thereby reducing waste and promoting sustainability.

We have manufactured acoustic panels for numerous office buildings, always tailoring them to meet specific design requirements. These solutions not only provide effective noise reduction but are also durable, environmentally friendly, and aesthetically pleasing, helping to create a more pleasant working environment.

Our factory is the winner of the Generali EnterPRIZE: Environmental Protection category
As the 2024 winner of the Environmental Protection category in the Generali EnterPRIZE sustainability competition, we have been recognized for our environmentally conscious manufacturing processes.
We will use the grant that comes with the award to develop eco-acoustic panels, which are made from natural materials and have excellent sound-absorbing properties. This recognition reinforces our commitment to continuing on the path of sustainable innovation and waste-free manufacturing.

Ginop PLUS 3.2.1.
Improving the adaptability and productivity of employees and businesses through workforce development.
Beneficiary name: Multifelt Factory Kft.
Training program names and objectives:
Dyeing training program objective: to master the dyeing technology of wool-based textiles, and to understand and apply the mechanisms of action of dyes and additives used in dyeing
Objective of the felting training program: to master the felting technology of wool-based textiles, and to learn and apply the operation of the new machine introduced into production
Objective of the die-cutting training program: to master the die-cutting (shape-cutting) technology of wool-based textiles, and to learn how to operate and apply the new hydraulic cutting machine.
Amount of contracted funding: 1,983,550 HUF
Detailed description of the training: The training was conducted in the form of in-house training.
During the dyeing training program, participants received theoretical training on textile dyeing, including the technology, terminology, and tools used. They gained practical experience with the dyeing process for wool textiles.
During the felting training program, participants learn how to operate the felting machine, gain an understanding of the theoretical principles of felting, and learn about the requirements for felt.
In the die-cutting training program, participants learn how to operate the die-cutting machine, the terminology and tools used in die-cutting, and the die-cutting process itself.
Course completion dates:
Painting course: October 12, 2023
Felting course: October 11, 2023
Die-cutting course: October 6, 2023

Circuloos project – a true milestone in sustainability

After months of brainstorming, planning, and experimentation, the CIRCULOOS project has come to a close. Based on the principles of the circular economy, the project brought together players in the light industry to collectively redefine the concept of “zero waste.”
Our acoustic panel, filled with scraps processed by our own shredder, is now complete, and it could open up entirely new possibilities for us in managing waste generated during production.
Thank you for the journey!
